西元1894年，設計者:喬治，為了解決橫越泰晤河兩岸繁忙的交通問題。採用先進的鋼骨架構建築。有利於泰晤河的水上交通。全長270公尺，水壓的變化會讓橋身自動打開。

The bridge designed by George Atwood was officially opened in 1894 to solve the traffic issue crossing River Thames.     Constructed with enhanced steel, Tower Bridge has helped relief the river traffic. It has total length of 270 meters long. The bridge lifts as the water pressure raises.
