最早建城是在1628年佔領台灣北部的西班牙人所興建的聖多明哥城，後來遭到摧毀，1644年荷蘭人於聖多明哥城原址附近予以重建，命名為「安東尼堡」。台灣現存最古老的建築之一，同時也是國定古蹟。  

Located at Tamsui District, Fort San Domingo was first built in 1628 by the Spanish when they occupied the north of Taiwan, and was torn down before the Dutch expelled them from Tamsui.     The Dutch rebuilt the fort called “Fort Antonio” in 1644 near the ruins of Fort San Domingo. The government has classified Fort San Domingo a historic site with one of the oldest buildings constructed in Taiwan.
